It is pointless to increase Martial Artist to a value greater than your attack percentage.
Basically, we roll an attack. If it's under your attack percentage (let's say 80% for Fist/Punch), you hit. If that roll was also under your Martial Artist percentage (let's say 30%), then you do double-damage.
If your target was a Shoggoth, you lose your arm.

EDIT: Should be all better now. You have a lot of skill points and boosted a lot of skills to 80. That is pretty cool, but I forgot to stress the importance of knowledge of "Other Languages". Seeing as how you're the "skill beast", I'll recommend you pick a few up besides French (and maybe alter the background to justify). Probably stuff others might not have; maybe even something obscure. It's not ever 100% necessary, but it does tend to help round out the edges. The only other character with other languages, according to his background, is B:L.

Rifle is considered a long distance "aim and fire" weapon, vs. the point-n-click Shotgun.

But yeah, supposin' I go after things that don't melt Mr. Fisty and his wife Elane, would it seem foolish to put all these points into bein' a melee fist-fighter and not have any martial arts?
