And no, I have no idea how the American school system works. Don't sweat the details. For 1920's, some parts might be missing, but for modern it is : Voluntary private pre-school / babysitting Kindergarten (5 years old) Elementary School (grades 1-5) Junior High School (grades 6-8) High School (grades 9-12) College / Trade School / Fry Cook

Shotgun (kept at the bottom of his closet at home, or hidden in his travelling case if away). Also, this is not practical. Shotguns are very long, unless I'm mistaken.

I'm thinking of sawn-offs again. Sigh. What was the general attitude towards going around armed in the 20s?

Fun facts - I picked Salisbury in Maryland as in the 1920s it was one of the largest centres of Jewish population in the States. One of the main papers in 1925 was The Salisbury Times (now The Daily Times), but it changed its name in 1923 so when Squashua moved the dates back I had to change it to The Wicomico News. Also, I read that in the 1920s the trend for 'naturalisation' of Jewish names was in full swing, hence Binyamin Mayer becomes Benjamin Miller. Now you see why it's been taking so long!

Hurm.
Wish I'd made my character at least midly proficient in swing dancing.
Maybe the Lindie Hop.

Artist Skill. You can still allocate and take as many Artist (and Craft) Skills as you want.
The first one is a freebie 5-pointer, but any subsequent ones start at 1 point.
Technically, your skill is 1%.

So I have a 99% chance of falling on my face and a 1% chance of being the lord of the dance?
|
|
|
Post by Squashua on Apr 22, 2009 9:38:01 GMT -5
1% chance of dance, 5% chance of falling on your face, and just a 94% chance of looking like a total douche.
01 - success 02-95 - failure 96-00 - critical failure

Other than the standard fist/punch/kick/grapple/headbutt , the following list is the obvious weapons list (leaving out stuff like impromptu molotov cocktails, screwdrivers, and other assorted beverages). Please let me know if I left out anything important, ASAP. I'll enumerate everything (range, skill %, damage, etc.) later today on your individual character sheets.
Mr. E / Daniel - military pistol (I'll specify type later)
Obbi / Roger - 6-shooter revolver (I'll specify type later) - crowbar
durax / David - 30 Caliber M1903 rifle
B:L / Christian Slater - faux sord cane (bludgeon instrument)
Oats - NOTHING (which is totally fine)
Wildcat - Shotgun (only because he mentions it a lot, not because he actually wrote it into his fully-completed background or anything hint hint hint)

If Charles being unarmed is fine, then cool.
Charles does have a sidearm (from the war) in a bank in Boston that I could've grabbed before coming to Exeter, though.
