Fine I sign up as Christian Slater. Which one? Not the one from Heathers. I've played a looot of CoC. Not sure if I can invest the time for a proper PBP game though, especially when limited by my timezone. Don't wanna hold you guys up. (Or forget about the boards again and screw y'all over.) All you do is hurt the village. Time constraints don't matter here. It's play-by-post. I plan to wait till everyone responds (or at most, more than a dozen hours) to each round before continuing.

And if you forget, Kay, I will be sure to send you a profanity-and-dong-laced PM on the PA boards as a reminder.

Fine I sign up as Christian Slater. Which one? Not the one from Heathers. Oh dear no, old chap. The piece takes place in the roaring 1920's, after all, pip pip. Fine I sign up as Christian Slater as Winston Churchill.

Obbi - Taxi Driver or Astrologer ... wait. Astrologer or Astronomer? . I think my original choice will be it. Unless you feel like a guy with some more smarts, in which cause I'd totally go for the profession that ruins stargazin'.

If my character needs more smarts, I could take a stab at being the kid from Powder. Edit: Or, I guess superman (even though I think he's really boring unless he's the antagonist).

This is not a board game. We're going to be playing a traditional role-playing game, much like those you listen to Tycho and Gabe play when you hear them on their D&D Podcasts.
Except not as resident. There will be much typing from my end. :/

The BMR system you mention in the other post isn't familiar to me - I played the Chaosium version, which has the fruitiest stats ever, like SIZE. (2d6+6)
I think I shall watch this six player game with interest, I do love me some RPG-stuff. (And now you are fuuuull.)

The BMR system you mention in the other post isn't familiar to me - I played the Chaosium version... I called it the BRP system. Stands for "Basic Role-Playing", which has been the game system Chaosium has used since they began publishing role-playing games. If you have played Call of Cthulhu you have either played it with the BRP system (what you mention above) or D20 (universally derided when Chaosium jumped on the D20 bandwagon) or Trail of Cthulhu's GUMSHOE system (most unlikely since it's new within the last year).

I was having a conversation with someone about BMR, and now I don't even remember what that was, just that it's an acronym. Odd.
But you didn't mention Size or Power or Education what-have-you, I thought you were talking about the D20 version. I played the Chaosium one that was shared (sorta) by Pendragon, which is apparently the BRP system. Confusion cleared!

BMR - Bowel Movement Removal
Re-read. I never went into specifics. I was holding out SANity, POWer, Magic Points, EDUcation, KNOWledge and the rest (none of which are 1-for-1 with the more well-known D&D attributes) for another post.

That's something I wanted to handle before I left for a bit. Rather than keep you hanging, give you something to do. I'm going to start up a character creation thread.
