Yeah, what most of you don't know is durax is on here almost all the time, in an even invisibler-er mode than El Bee.

Man, I had somethin' written up last night, but it just didn't work out.
It's hard to write a post that basically boils down to "take no real action and bitch to yourself"

I meant to post that earlier before work but stupid work made me go in a bit earlier. So I hope it still fits in I can delete it if needed.

Edit all you want, man! Everything in the game is good so far. Durax, if you want to write up Embarkation's little venture through town (or if you want to start if off yourself, Mystery), be my guest.

I should wait on B:L to see what he does with Henry before I attempt to contact him, right?

What you did was fine, but your character would have needed to wait a while; I figured B:L'd crash overnight and contact you in the morning (actually, I figured B:L would have posted much earlier than anyone by now). Not a big deal, and I did "reward" your character's enthusiasm. Likely assume at this point B:L/Slater has attempted to contact your character and left a cryptic message, likely because it's not good to call someone's workplace and leave a message saying you have "a job" for one of their employees, likely with their boss. So basically, he's apparently the type of guy who would think ahead about that sort of thing. I left it vague so if anyone WANTED to fill in the details, they could. You can write up the complete invite text if you wish; leave it a bit open-ended for B:L, depending on what information he'd want to relate to your character. Consider this: Embarkation is inviting durax in a hired capacity. That means durax likely will get paid straight, rather than get a % of the house. He'll likely tell durax the basics, but not much beyond that. It's up to him how "open" the relationship would be at the beginning, all things considered (they don't know each other, and he's giving him some job experience as a favor to his brother). Wildcat is invited as Embarkation's reporter-date proxy. He's coming as a reporter and won't get paid (except by his employer). He'll be given as much basic info as Embarkation's date told Wildcat's employer. Or rather, whatever the employer decides to feed to Wildcat, which can be assumed to be "be at this place and time to sign the lawyer papers, you're going to go to this house and hang out with these people and report on their 'exorcism' activities". As a reporter, Wildcat might actually do some background research on the property/family beforehand. I mean, depending if Wildcat ever signs into the forum again. You're being invited by B:L, likely as an amusement to his character; he took a liking to you and even though you're from opposite walks of life, you share at least a couple interests. Plus you're complimentary to his lifestyle (and a not-clingy fan). Quite probably you'll be entitled to an equal share of the percentage. He's an open person, so he'll tell you likely what you need to know (he'll be straight with you) from the beginning. Hell, it being B:L/Slater, he'll probably embellish the fuck out of it and your character will shit himself on the drive over. Also, someone needs to drive at least one car out. Depends on how large your Taxi/Sedan is.

Christ this is harder than I thought.
I keep tryin' to write but I don't know what to write! Do I call Slater? Does he answer? Do I, too, not get him and leave a message with somebody? Do I write it to meet up at a place?
This world is so foreign to me I'm havin' to use parts of my brain that have never been used before.

Make somethin' up.
He's a bit of a slob. An actor. He does nothing all day but wander around half-naked.
Figure out where he lives and pay him a visit or telephone him midday-ish.

Thanks for that bitty about NPC characters and such. Whenever I run into things that use "within reason" as the amount to how much you can work with an element in the game, I kinda freeze.
You see, I lack reason! What is reasonable? I have no idea!

Not within reason, unless at a college, Mystery. May require some checks. And not to fret , I'm actually reading what everyone posts in the game thread, and if there's a question of challenge, I'll handle it toot-sweet.

I'm going to get to the game thread by this evening (I hope), until then, witty banter away.
Next major scene will be everyone (all players, including the missing one (WILDCAT)) at the lawyer's office on Wednesday, mid-morning.
