I'm not going to go overboard. I normally ask a lot of my sit-down pen-and-paper players for CoC. For example, my last face-to-face campaign used the following: Background Template ( Sample) Character CreationI may use some of the above details for our character creation, but will likely simplify it to avoid confusing new players.

Wow. I just re-read all that.
Put it in the Yog Journal three years ago and actually, it works well for us. I'll alter them and post what I need from you-all in a new thread.

You're in the military and you've never played a RPG before? I thought that was your gang's bread and butter.

Mine will hopefully be outlined this weekend, as long as my boss is the wonderfully happy and kind and not at all irritable person that he always is, I love him so.

After reading up on this, I wish I wish I wish I'd said I'd signed up, and I'd put aside the time for it. I shall content myself with watching, and possibly giving Obbi some pointers.

Hey guys, if you've played CoC before, please list (without spoiler) or describe (in spoilers) which adventures you've played in.
I'd like to know so I don't guide the campaign down a path you've already traveled.

Holy shit, this is what I miss when my computer breaks and I'm sick EDIT: I've also been wanting to try out Trail, and I even have the book sitting in my room, I just don't have the time to really go through it and learn it (plus, I'd be pretty much forced to run it, and I'm already charged with running D&D this summer). Anyway, I'm watching this with all sorts of eagerness and such.

EDIT: I've also been wanting to try out Trail, and I even have the book sitting in my room I was tempted to go the digital route and get some of us to invest in Trail (there's a 1 PDF main book + 3 license Player Handbook bundle on rpgnow), but decided to stick with what I know. Even if the system is... BRP.

Somebody tell me what to put the rest of my points into.
I figure Cartography and Religion would be suitable, but I have no real clue what's good and what's uh, not so good to sink my points into.
edit: also that is a great image.
